As we enter the sacred season of Advent, we invite you to join us in anticipation and preparation for the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Advent, meaning "coming" in Latin, is a season observed by Christians around the world as a time of expectant waiting and spiritual reflection leading up to Christmas Day.
Each week during Advent, we light a candle on the advent wreath, each representing a core theme of the season:
First Week - The Candle of Hope
In challenging times, we all need hope. Christ is our Hope, entering a troubled world to uplift our spirits.
Second Week - The Candle of Peace
Amid life's anxieties, God offers us peace that surpasses understanding. Christ, the Prince of Peace, brings tranquility to all who seek Him.
Third Week - The Candle of Joy
Earthly pleasures fade, but true joy comes from Jesus, our Savior. Christ is coming, bringing joy to our hearts.
Fourth Week - The Candle of Love & the Christ Candle
Surrounded by discord, we demonstrate the love of Christ, for love never fails. Christ, the Messiah, has come!
