The Counselor Who Sees What You Cannot

Day 5: The Counselor Who Sees What You Cannot
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6
Reflection:
At Christmas, we celebrate more than the birth of a child—we celebrate the coming of a Counselor who knows us completely. This is not a distant advisor with limited understanding. This is the Wonderful Counselor who sits inside our lives, aware of our tears, our fears, and our tomorrows.
His wisdom is not bound by time or circumstance. Where we see confusion, He sees clarity. Where we face detours, He knows the destination. The Christ who lay in a manger is the same Counselor who guides us through the wilderness of life with divine wisdom and unfailing care.
What decision are you facing right now that has you confused? What choice keeps you up at night, weighing options, trying to see the future? You're looking at it from your limited perspective—from inside time, with incomplete information, unable to see what's around the corner.
The Wonderful Counselor sees it all. He sees the paths you cannot see. He knows the answers you cannot find. And He offers to guide you, not just with information, but with His very presence.
His counsel doesn't just inform—it transforms. When we submit beneath His wonderful counsel, we find excitement, enthusiasm, and amazement. There's something wonderful about His guidance that lifts the heart and strengthens the soul.
Application:
Pause before making a decision today and pray: 'Lord, what do You see that I cannot see?' Then listen. Not for an audible voice, but for the still, small voice of His Spirit in Scripture, in wise counsel, in peace that guards your heart.
Prayer
Wonderful Counselor, I come to You with my confusion and uncertainty. You see the paths I cannot see, and You know the answers I cannot find. Teach me to lean on You when my mind is restless and my choices are unclear. Silence the noise that pulls me in so many directions, and steady my heart to follow after You. When I stand at life's crossroads, remind me that I am never alone, for You walk beside me, guiding me into peace. Amen.
