Pastor Ralph Douglas West established the Armed Forces Ministry to create opportunities for veterans and active-duty service members to engage in spiritual growth and group interaction. The ministry promotes community involvement, fosters Christian fellowship, and shares up-to-date resources in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. It also supports several Veteran Service Organizations, sponsors networking events, and hosts community lunch-and-learn workshops throughout the Houston metropolitan area.
The Armed Forces Ministry’s objective is to connect veterans and active-duty service members with valuable resources through our extensive military community network. We prioritize sharing information on products and services, employment opportunities, and other outreach efforts that benefit our military family. Our support extends to employment, education, transition, and rehabilitation assistance, among other key areas. We also collaborate with churches across the Greater Houston Metro area to promote and strengthen various veteran-focused initiatives within the community.
Veterans, get to know your resources and prepare for life changes; deployments, reintegration, education, employment, housing, medical, retirement, and death. Several programs assist veterans who are currently serving or received an honorable discharge.

The Armed Forces Ministry is a vibrant collective of service members, united in diversity and knowledge-sharing, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for veterans and their families. By getting connected with our ministry, veterans gain access to crucial information and support from the Veterans Administration. This includes a range of outreach programs like job and health fairs, informative lectures, and various other VA initiatives, all aimed at providing comprehensive assistance and opportunities.
The Armed Forces Ministry offers veterans and their families an opportunity to become disciples for Jesus Christ. As each one of us has unique gifts, talents, training, or experience, these gifts are essential and vital components for the ministry. We use our platform to encourage and uplift our military community. Such skills and services certainly enrich us to glorify God's goodness within the military community.
