College Ministry

The Purpose of the College Ministry

The College Ministry is designed to meet the unique needs of college-aged young adults (18-25). We offer a variety of biblical experiences to help college-aged students develop and strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Who We Are

The College Ministry develops college-aged students into disciples with responsible church membership as they connect to the life and mission of the church, resulting in spreading the gospel across their college campuses.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 (NIV)

College Ministry Principles

We will equip college students with the Word and help them maintain a daily devotional life by offering the following:

  • Dedicated College Student Sunday Worship Service
  • 24/7 Prayer/Crisis Hotline
  • Daily Scripture/Inspirations via Social Media
  • Pastor West daily devotionals via Ralph Douglas West Ministries

We will promote evangelism by reaching the unchurched by offering the following programs:

  • Worship, Fellowship and Dine at Queenston and Eldridge campuses each Sunday
  • College Care Packages
  • College Campus Tours
  • Community service collaborations in our area

Through small group study with topics relative to college life and experiences, our goal is to strengthen young men and women for daily campus life by offering online intra-campus Bible studies. And, mentoring and leadership development will be offered through professional collaborations as we prepare our students for their future – college and beyond – by offering the following:

  • College/Career Prep Workshops
  • Adopt-A-Student Program
  • Financial Aid Workshops
  • Career Shadowing Program
  • Internship/Job Placement Assistance
  • Entrepreneur Workshops

Through collaborations, we will offer the following programs to encourage stewardship and maintenance of Christian-based lifestyles… Finance Management Workshops to offer biblically-based guidance on budget and debt

Events

Baccalaureate Service

Every year, in the month of June, a service is held in honor of all graduates of TCWW (high school and college). It is held during the 10am Worship Service at the Queenston Campus, where graduates have the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements.

Johnelle West Scholarship

The TCWW Johnelle West Scholarship is awarded every school year to applicants who have passed the requirements given by the Scholarship Committee. It is a two-month process that allows the opportunity for college students (Undergraduate and Graduate) to submit an application, an essay, references, and transcripts. If awarded the scholarship, recognition takes place during the Sunday Noon Service at our Queenston Campus, usually in late May or early June.
