The Purpose of the Deacon Family Life Ministry
The Deacon Family Life Ministry faithfully extends the reach of our Pastor's care, addressing the diverse needs of our congregation. We engage in a ministry of presence, visiting the sick, offering comfort to those grieving, welcoming new believers through baptism, and sharing the sacred act of Communion with the redeemed. Our purpose is to be the living embodiment of our Pastor’s care, ensuring every member of our church family feels supported in their spiritual journey.
Our purpose is to ensure knowledge and understanding of Baptism: visual demonstration of faith & obedience.
DFLM facilitates three required classes: Salvation, Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper, to confirm each candidate’s faith and understanding.

DFLM extends the human touch by sharing the burden of grief as an extension of our Pastor.
Our services go beyond the day of the funeral to provide reassurance that the bereaved need not walk alone.

As our Pastor is the model as he serves the meal to the DFLM, so are the DFLM representatives to the congregants. It is a role of humble servitude to our brothers and sisters in the faith that we extend communion to the home-bound, hospitalized, assisted living, and nursing home, as we draw near to commune with our Lord.

DFLM services are to bring compassion, prayer, and scripture reading to each home-bound, hospitalized member and their family.
We are sensitive and compassionate as we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.
