Who We Are

Our team is made up of people from both business and education, and Backrs combines both viewpoints into a new platform that disrupts the way we support kids. We’re removing hurdles that stand between kids and the everyday champions that they need. At Backrs we envision a day when every person can successfully navigate life’s ups and downs and realize their aspirations with a community of backers by their side.

What We Do

Backrs is a crowd-backing platform that helps young people build and engage with a team of supporters who are there for them personally, professionally, and financially on their life’s everyday journey. Backrs partners with schools across the south to identify curious, motivated, and committed students to join our community. We then recruit adults from across the US to form a team around each young person. Engagement happens on our app right from your phone in a way that maximizes opportunities for young people while maintaining a low time commitment for adults.

Available Serving Opportunities

Virtually Mentor a High School or College Student

Backrs is seeking adults to join our virtual community to connect, empower, and invest in high school and college students. We harness the power of technology to connect young people with adults in Texas and around the United States to form teams around them to support them in navigating their journeys. The time commitment is minimal (10-15 minutes per week), but the opportunity to have an impact on a young person in massive.
