Make Your Move Sermon Series

What makes a church truly great? Does it involve the size of the membership? Is it due to the friendliness of the people who attend there? Is it due to the powerful preaching by the pastor? How about the amount of land the congregation owns or its number of church plants and ministries? Even though these attributes may be the result of a church’s greatness, they do not make that particular church great. Actually, what makes a church really great is simply this: people who have given their lives to Jesus Christ that have discovered their spiritual gifts and use those gifts within the body of Christ.

In this enlightening study, Pastor Ralph West explores what the Word of God says regarding building an effective congregation through lay ministry. He discusses the work of the Holy Spirit within the church, along with the necessity for the pastor to “move over” to let the laity “move up” and the church to “move out.” Pastors and laity alike will learn valuable skills to release their church into their God-given destiny.
