Marriage
Marriage
The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3 (NIV)
Most Holy God,
Thank you for my husband. Help me to obey your word and render to him respect affection, kindness, compassion, and consideration. Give us both your wisdom and understanding. They will be life to our souls and provide grace in our marriage. We face challenges, conflicts, and disagreements, please extend to us your mercy and grant us your peace. Help us to communicate in love and never let the sun go down while we are still angry. Let the love we see and experience in this marriage be kind, not self-seeking, trusting, protecting, hopeful, and preserving. Father, please bless my husband. Help him honor your word and treat me as the weaker vessel and love me by your grace. May his obedience to your word grant him a closer relationship with you.
Help me be a virtuous woman who will always be a crown above his head. Let me be the helper to my husband that will honor you. Thank you for making us one flesh. Please protect our marriage and deliver us from all adversities that we cannot bear without your help. Lord, you are the third strand, please let this union reflect your holy presence. God thank you for the institution of marriage. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
