Heavenly Father,

You said that an unmarried woman is to be concerned with the Lord’s affairs, with her aim to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit (1 Cor. 7:32-35). Yet you also said that it is not good that man dwells alone and that woman was created to be a help meet (Gen. 2:18).

Therefore, for this current season of my life, I ask you to grant me the grace to be content with being single. When loneliness comes, let no temptation over take me beyond what I am able to bear (1 Cor. 10:13). Help me to be committed to watch and pray, for my spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matt. 26:41). Continually fill me with the power of the fruits of your Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) that I may walk after the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of my flesh (Gal. 5:16)

I will continually take comfort in knowing you have not left me alone (John 8:29). I will not lean on my own understanding, but I will trust in you with all my heart (Prov. 3:5,6). May the testing of my faith produces perseverance (James 1:3,4) that brings you glory.

Help me now to write the vision of a godly man’s character that I am believing you for. I will make it plain on paper and keep it continually before me so that I do not compromise and settle for less than your will in my life (Hab. 2:2). Please grant me an understanding heart, that I may discern between a good and a bad relationship (I Kings. 3:9). I willing summit to your preparation for the next season of my life with my aim to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. For few things are needed and I choose that which will not be taken away from me (Luke 10:42)

In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
