Spiritual Growth
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. II Peter 3:18 (NIV)
Gracious Lord,
Help me to grow in grace and grow in the knowledge of you. Your divine power has given me everything I need for life and godliness through my knowledge of you. Thank you for the great and precious promises that allow me to participate in your divine nature and escape the corruption of this world.
Lord, I make every effort to add to my faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. Lord, help me to walk in your spirit and not gratify the desires of my flesh. Please shine your light on the areas of my life where I need to grow spiritually. Grant me strength and grace to submit to the Spirit’s leading. I am trusting in you and depending on your Holy Spirit to produce in my life the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I ask this all in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
