The Inn: History's Greatest No Vacancy | Luke 2:4-7

Series: The Props on the Stage of Christmas

Pastor Ralph Douglas WestDecember 7, 2025Faith, Advent, Obedience

Passage: Luke 2:4-7

Jesus arrived in Bethlehem only to be met with the words, “No room in the inn.” In this sermon, Pastor Ralph Douglas West reminds us that the Christmas story unfolds in a world governed by political oppression, human suffering, and divine intervention. Joseph—the silent, obedient figure in the nativity—teaches us that faith is often shown more in action than in speech. Through this message, we are urged to examine whether our lives have room for Christ, or whether the good things we love have become clutter that crowds Him out. The Savior still knocks, asking to enter—not to take joy away, but to reorder our hearts and transform our lives from within.
