Sisterhood and Support: Two are better than one
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV
Woven together in love, truth, consistency, collaboration, and mutual support one of God’s most precious gifts to women can be found in the value of true, Christ-centered Sisterhood. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 portrays the beauty and strength of sisterhood, highlighting the rare and powerful manifestation of God's love and power through unity and laboring together. When we choose to combine our gifts and talents with our sister, the harvest produced by our combined strengths produces a much greater quality of fruit than if we’re laboring alone. When we choose to move past fear and act by faith by opening our hearts and receiving the blessing of Sisterhood we share.
As God's beloved daughters, we must first strive to be the sisters that we desire to have. Life is filled with a multitude of highs, lows, and uncertainties. When you have a sister to help carry the load, and who is there for you no matter how far you’ve fallen, her act of love empowers you to continue your journey with confidence.
Let Us Pray: Heavenly Father, as we continue to celebrate Women’s Month, we thank you for blessing us with the precious gift of sisterhood. May we be reminded to always see and love our sisters just as you do? We pray that your love and blessings reach all women, and they too can experience the joy of sisterhood under your divine grace. In Jesus name, Amen.
