A Father's Example

"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick." -Matthew 14:14

Devotional: As we prepare to celebrate our fathers in a week, as the calendar turns to Father’s Day, it is good to know that we serve a God who always looks beyond our faults and sees exactly what you and I need. For He is our model; He is our guide who loves us despite us and knows us better than we know ourselves. He's that kind of a God who feels our hurts and comforts us in the midnight hour. Wow, what a mighty God we serve, one who truly is a feeler but also one who is a healer; thank you, Lord, for loving me that much and showing me the godly example of Daddy!

Prayer: In the midst of my storm, Sovereign Lord, you always provide a peace that transcends all human understanding; we love you, but more importantly than that, O God, we thank you for loving us! Each day, Spirit of the Living God, you reveal your greatness to us by simply being everything that we need to continue this journey; thank you for your amazing grace, and thank you for healing our sin,ful sick souls through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, who paid it all to heal and redeem us, in Him we pray and give You glory, Amen and Amen!
