A Love That Will Last
A LOVE THAT WILL LAST
December 24-30
Scripture: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us).” –Matthew 1:23
Devotional: Let’s face it, we all enjoy this time of the year; for truly it is a wonderful, festive time of the year, while we do our best to try to remember the reason for the Christmas season. Yes, we know during this time of Advent, our focus is on Christ and His coming into the world but, truly, is He really the center of hope, joy, peace, and love? It’s a question that only you can answer for yourself but know this; no one or nothing can love you and fill you with His love like Jesus Christ, the light of the world because He is the only true and living gift in our lives that will last forever and ever!
Prayer: Father, I love you and I cannot thank you for the great love that you have for me; the love that came down from heaven to save me and to raise me, to give me love that I will never ever experience through your Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ! Holy God, as we come toward the end of this Season of Advent, remind us that you are with us not just in December, but in the weeks, months, and years to come, because your love is from everlasting to everlasting! We give you glory, honor, and praise, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen!
Reflection Question: Can you think of something or someone that compares to God’s love for you?
