"Blessed are those whose hope is in the Lord their God." (Psalm 146:5)
Devotional: Hope is a four-letter word that has a powerful meaning. The Bible describes hope as an unwavering confidence in the faithfulness and promises of God. For believers, hope makes the future possible. Hope does not mean there is an absence of cares and concerns but makes it possible for us to look beyond our present circumstances into where we desire to see ourselves in the future. Hope gives us comfort in knowing the Lord is our help and that His plans for us are good. We are blessed when we put our trust in the Lord. May we find comfort not only in the change hope brings to our circumstances but also in knowing we have Jesus Christ in our life!
Prayer: Gracious God our Father, when trials seem overwhelming may we be comforted by the hope we have in Christ. Jesus is who keeps us from falling. Help us remember that You hold our future in your hands and that we are blessed by knowing You are always with us. In Jesus’ Name… Amen!
