Double Your Pleasure

“To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters in Christ:  Grace and peace to you from God our Father” Colossians 1:2

Devotional: I enjoy old sitcoms and shows from the 1960s and 1970s.  During that time, I recall a commercial depicting sets of twins doing various activities together.  For example, a set of twins would be playing tennis against another set of twins, and also, maybe a set of male twins would be on a date with another set of female twins.  The line in the commercial was, “Double your pleasure by chewing Doublemint chewing gum.”  As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we have double pleasures and blessings every minute of every hour of every day because God has doubled our lives with His Grace and His Peace through knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Prayer: Oh God, we thank you for providing us with your grace and your peace! Now, Sovereign Lord, remind us right now that during the pressures of life, we have access to press forward because of the confidence we have in a God who is able to do the abundant. Through Jesus Christ, who is our Prince of Peace, we pray, Amen and Amen!  

Reflection Question: When life issues come, are God’s grace and peace sufficient for you?
