He’s In Our Skin
He’s In Our Skin
August 4-10
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” Psalm 103:8
Devotional: I once recall a little boy sharing with his parents why he has problems sleeping at night. The father decided to try to encourage his son to know that he is not alone when he is in his room; and that God is with him. The child replied, “But daddy, I need a god with skin on.” Can you identify with this child? I must admit that there are times when I have not felt the presence of God and yet scripture reminds me that we have a God who is always with us, in us, and will never forget about us!
Prayer: Lord, we bless your Holy name! Thank you for your great love toward us and we give you glory, honor, and praise! Father, as we enter into your throne of grace, remind us of your great compassion and that we are never alone because you first loved us, in the name of Jesus, Amen and Amen!
Reflection Question: How do you react when you don’t feel the presence of God?
