His Cover Keeps Us Warm and Secure
February 1 - 7
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalm 91:1)
Devotional: Sometimes winter storms can create havoc living here in our area here of Southeast Texas. With the expectation of low temperatures, combined with ice and snow, we are asked to wrap our pipes, protect our plants, pets, and prepare for possible power outages as we hunker down for a few days until the weather gets better. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, life problems can be like a cold winter storm and issues can cause us to feel the chills of pain and heartache, but I would like to encourage us to recognize the power that never goes out in the greatness of our God. My friends, let’s not forget that our God has us underneath His wings as our protector and our shield; thus, you and I can find rest, peace, contentment during the cold dark winters off our lives!!
Prayer: Father, how we love you and thank you for being our dwelling place where we can find everything that we need; continue to give us focus to look to the hills of your holiness, where we can escape from the pressures of life and be comforted by the shadows of your might, in the name of Jesus Christ, who came to give us life and to be light in our hearts, we pray, Amen!!!
