Hope for Holidays

Hope for the Holidays
November 30 - December 6
“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.” (Daniel 6:10)
Devotional: Have you ever noticed the mannerisms of a pigeon, in terms of how they walk? This particular bird has to come to a complete stop, between steps, to focus their eyes in order to ensure that the creature is moving toward the target destination. As we begin this advent season of Hope in observance of Christ Jesus coming in this world, the pigeon reminds us to take the time, between the steps of your life, and refocus on what God has provided in giving us the eternal Hope that we have in His Son!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we come to you in adoration and appreciation during this season of advent in bringing Hope into this world to encourage our hearts and minds! Lord, thank you for all that you have done and now fill us afresh with your assurance that we can make it because our situations and circumstances are not hopeless; for we know that Jesus Christ paid it all on a hill called Calvary and He is our help in times of trouble. We love you in His name we pray, Amen and Amen!!!
Reflection Question: How does Christ’s coming into this world to bring hope lives out in you?
