Keep On Keeping On

Scripture: “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” – Hebrew 10:36
Devotional: As a child growing up in my home church back in Georgia, we often sung this song, “I’m Pressing On.” The lyrics go this way:
“I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on, trying to reach my heavenly home;
a few tears I’ll have to cry, I few more burdens I have to bear,
I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on, trying to reach my heavenly home,
mother there, father there, I just trying to make it in.”
Friends, even in the midst of our trials and tribulations, what a tremendous blessing to know that our God always keep His promises! We have this great assurance of knowing that when we have done all that we can do, we can stand on His Word which gives us the strength of His power IF you don’t give up or give in!
Prayer: Father, help us to not fall away from You during the testing times of our lives and to trust you with everything that we have because You are able to do exceedingly and abundantly in whatever we ask or can imagine; so we thank You and we love You, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!
