Like Sand Through An Hourglass, So Are Our Lives In His Hands

Like Sand Through An Hourglass, So Are Our Lives In His Hands

July 13-19

“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”  2 Corinthians 4:16

Devotional: Have you ever wished you could turn the hands of time back to change the outcome of your situation or circumstance? I certainly have, but the truth is simply this: without a past, we would not be the person we are today. We, as believers in Jesus Christ, who have been walking with God for a long time, know that no matter how we feel, our peace is in Christ Jesus. In other words, beloved, regardless of what comes and goes, our God is faithful, and he will supply our every need.

Prayer: Our Father who art in Heaven, Our God who knowest all things and nothing is hidden from you, we thank you for your great love for humanity! Lord, we ask that you stretch out our hand of mercy and grace to thee to help us recognize what season of life we are in, so that we can use this precious time to grow and see you more clearly. Oh God, we thank you that you are our strength, and we give you glory for your renewed power day by day. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen and Amen!

Reflection Question: As the days pass by this year of 2025, what are you doing within the 24 hours each day given to you for God’s glory?
