Love Regardless of the Cost
September 14-20
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
Devotional: It is so true in that in order to receive respect you must first understand the importance of giving respect. The process matters regardless of the situation or circumstance that we may find ourselves. In other words, treat people the way we desire to be treated. No wonder Jesus reminds us to love one another because it says much about who we are but more importantly than that, where we are in our walk as Christians. Remember, as a disciples of Christ, we are made and not born!
Prayer: Dear Lord, we love you and we thank you for loving us! Heavenly Father, please teach us how to show more respect and kindness towards one another. Remind us to listen to one another and how we trust you and your love for us regardless of the whether it is be reciprocated by others. Lord, if we have disrespected anyone knowingly or unknowing we ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
