My Mind Is Set on Jesus
September 22-28
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus” Philippians 2:5
Devotional: In many places around the globe, there are very unique doors and or gateways, especially located in the Middle East. One of them is actually located in Bethlehem, the Palestinian city in Israel and of course, the birthplace of our Jesus Christ. People from everywhere will come to visit this special door of a church there which measures less than five feet tall, and one has to stoop down to lower yourself into the church. It is known as the Door of Humility and it serves as a reminder that we should all take on the mindset of our Lord and Savior, who came down from Heaven, humbled himself to die for us on Calvary’s cross for our sins; He did it you and for me!
Prayer: My Father and My God, as I go throughout this week, keep me humbled and grounded in you; allow me to take on your character as I come in contact with those within my area of influence as well as those that I will encounter for the first time. Let your Son Jesus Christ radiates from my deeds and my speech; allow your light to shine in my hearts where people will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, in His name, Christ Jesus, I pray, Amen!
