Scripture: “God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.” –Acts 5:31
Devotional: I remember as a child watching cartoons that reflected characters of amazing strength such as Hercules, and Superman, and though he didn’t look like a powerful figure once he ate his can of spinach, my favorite, Popeye! They all had the power to rescue those in distress, to save people’s lives, and to bring peace to a community. While I enjoyed watching these cartoons as a child, I knew that they were fictional and they never compared with the real hero of my life, as a child; King of King, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace, and Savior of my soul in JESUS CHRIST, Superhero and Superstar!
Prayer: Father, we give you glory, we give honor, we give you praise for Jesus Christ; there is no one like Him, and thank you for loving us that much in giving Him to us. Now God reminds me daily of His power to forgive me and His presence to walk with me and because of His promise that He will never leave me or forsake me, in His name Jesus we pray, Amen and Amen!
Reflection Question: Who would excite you more; seeing your favorite superstar or the real Superstar?
