Stuck Together for My Good

November 3-9

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?" Romans 8:35

Devotional: While working in my garage a few weeks ago, I came across some materials that were used several years ago for the installation of new tiles in my bathrooms.  My hand accidentally touched some glue that was used for the flooring. Even though the substance had not been used for some time, it still stuck to my fingers. Super glue is one thing that you don’t want on your hands or body because of its permanency. However, when it comes to one’s relationship with Jesus Christ, I thank God that He sticks closer than a brother, and we are stuck together for my good and His grace towards me!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, for there is none like you, there is none like you!  We love you and adore you for being our God, for you are a Great God, and we give you all praise and glory!  Now, Lord, remind us to know that You are with us always, and even in those moments when the troubles of life come our way, let us look to the hills which come to our help because all of our help comes from thee, in the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen and Amen!

Reflection Question: What things consume you when trouble comes your way?

This devotional was very timely. I was in the process of determining to what extent to offer assistance to someone who can sometimes be picky and ungrateful. As a result of this devotional, I know that I am to help in some
manner and will ask God provide guidance as to what form the help should take.
