Thankful for His Care

November 16 - 22

"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God." (Isaiah 40:1)

Devotional: If you have ever had to attend a funeral service, one of the scripture readings that you will probably hear read is Psalm 23. It is probably the most recognizable passages in the bible and most of us can quote this famous passage line by line. However, have you ever noticed how this particular Psalm speaks of God’s love and comfort for you during times of trials and tribulations? Friends, in times of hardship and despair, know that you have a God who cares and support you in the midst of your pain. As we thank Him for His power and protection, don’t forget to thank Him for His presence which holds me and keeps me during seasons of midnight in my life!

Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for always looking beyond my faults, my hang-ups, my issues, and seeing exactly what I need; we love you and we lean on you! Now Lord, remind us that you are able to order our steps to a place of peace; thank you for accepting us just as we are and allow your Spirit to touch our hearts, minds, and souls to accept your amazing grace and mercy; thank you for loving us that much, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen!!!
