To Catch a Thief

To Catch a Thief
September 28 - October 5
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. (John 10:10)
Devotional: For me, this verse speaks volumes on the Sovereignty of God but also on the sneakiness of the enemy. We know that the thief opposes God, His rule, reign and righteousness but the question is, “does the thief, the accuser, the devil, act alone in stealing but do you and I assist in the process? How many times have you left your key in the front door of your home or in your car? Maybe at times, we aid the enemy but the good news for us is know that as sheep, we have a Shepherd who protects, provides, and promises to never leave us or forsake us; thus, we can experience the abundance of life in Him and in Him alone!
Prayer: God of Grace, God of Glory, we acknowledge your presence in our lives and to know that You are a God to keep us from the wicked and the wiles of the enemy. We ask afresh for your strength as the thief seeks to siege on us; remind us that greater is in us than that which in the world in the name of Jesus, Amen
Reflection Question: When the enemy seeks to steal your joy, peace, what is your plan of action?
