The Outcome of His Love for me

The Outcome of His Love for me

October 11 - 17

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

Devotional: Judges make decisions day in and day out on the validity on one’s guilty or one’s innocent. Ironically the bible plays a role regarding this because those who have been called to testify in the court case must swear on the bible to tell the truth.  Jesus reminds us from this same bible that love is demonstrated not by mere words but is lived out in who are as His disciples of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we know that it isn’t always easy to love some people but yet, You have given us access of the Holy Spirit to love those who are deemed unlovable. Lord show us how to love those who are desperately in need of comfort and care. Remind us of the importance of caring those who many have turned their backs on and lead us to be willing vessels help others because we are all Your creation, in the Jesus I pray, Amen!

Reflection Question: Were you born or made a disciple to display God’s love for others?
