The Church’s Partnership

July 19 - 25

“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." (Matthew 16:18)

Devotional: As a child, I grew up in an era where people stayed with their church, even when they didn’t get along with certain people in the fellowship, such as the pastor, deacons, choir, usher members, etc.  They lived a song that we often sung during that my time as a youth growing up in the church; “I shall not, I shall not be moved.” The mindset was simply this, “nobody is going to make me leave “My Church.” I believe there is a difference in being territorial and taking ownership, especially in the church, because Jesus Christ is the Owner and we are the mangers; what a partnership

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we love you and we give you glory for the partnership we have in your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ! Lord, enable us to know that You are the owner and thank you for the opportunity to manage what you have placed in our hands, we praise your name for entrusting us to do your will and your way in the Master’s name we pray, Amen!
